How do I join?
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can I be in choir and participate in athletics?
A. YES! A very large percentage of choir students are also involved in sports.
Q. Do I have to know how to sing or read music to join?
A. No. We will teach you everything you need to know.
Q. Are there performances outside of school?
A. Yes. All choirs perform at least 4 concerts- Fall, Winter, Spring, and an End-of-Year Show. All concerts are required.
Q. How much after school time is required for 6th grade?
A. Very little time is spent outside of school for required rehearsals. Dress rehearsals are scheduled as needed with plenty of advanced notice.

Henry Middle School Choir
ABOUT OUR CHOIR PROGRAM
As a member of the Henry M.S. Choir, you will prepare and perform a variety of different styles of music for 4 choir performances throughout the year. You will learn how to sing well, read music, and discover all the wonderful things music has to offer!
6th Grade choir members have the opportunity to perform solos at Solo and Ensemble Contest and our End-of-Year Show! You will also have the opportunity to participate in private voice lessons before or after school or during choir.
7th and 8th Grade choir members will also have opportunities to perform at Solo and Ensemble Contest and the End-of-Year Show. You will also be invited to audition for the All-Region Choir. Voice lessons are also available before/after school or during choir.
ALL Choir Members will be invited to participate in choir bonding activities, choir celebrations, extra-curricular events, field trips, and more!
